Cremation Packages
When faced with making cremation arrangements, either for a loved one or as part of cremation pre-planning, today's price conscious families look for value-laden cremation packages. Already familiar with the telecommunications practice of bundling various services together (Internet, cable television, and phone), they've come to expect similar packaged offerings from other service providers; and we responded. We invite you to review each feature-laden cremation package listed below. Should you have questions about our packages, or wish to learn how one can be customized to meet your unique needs; contact us. We will be delighted to explore your cremation service options with you.
The Funeral Rule
Before we go much further, we'd like to talk to you about the Funeral Rule, the Federal Trade Commission's 1984 effort to protect consumers.
Basically, it requires that we, as a cremation services provider, must make a General Price List available to those asking about funeral goods and services, or their prices. Naturally, the Funeral Rule applies when someone walks into a funeral home or cremation facility; but does it apply to Internet-based inquiries? We believe it does; and the fact you are reading a page about cremation packages implies you're interested in pricing, we feel it's essential to give you access to our General Price List (GPL) before getting into the particulars of our various packages. Click on General Price List to download a PDF copy for your review. (And, if you're interested in learning more about the Funeral Rule, we urge you to visit the Federal Trade Commission website.)
Our Cremation Packages
Ranging from the very simple to the more all-inclusive, our cremation packages were designed with today's families in mind. Value-driven, each offers a unique set of cremation-related services at a very affordable cost. Please note that additional fees can apply for those individuals exceeding 300 pounds, or for anyone who does not fit in a standard cremation container.
Simple Cremation:
Often called "direct cremation"; this basic package offers families a very affordable way to provide a loved one with excellent cremation care without incurring seemingly unnecessary expense. Our direct cremation package includes:
- The transfer of your loved one to the crematory.
- Preparation of the death certificate and all related permits.
- Coordination with the Medical Examiner/Coroner if required.
- Purchase of, and placement of your loved one in, an approved cremation container.
- The cremation process, supervised by experienced and certified cremation specialists.
- The placement of your loved one's ashes in a basic cremation urn.
- The safe return of their ashes to your family.
Cremation with a Visitation:
This package includes all the features of a direct cremation with an added advantage: prior to the cremation, we will host a visitation (sometimes called a viewing) for your family and your guests. This can be a very special time for everyone in attendance, as it offers them a chance to come together to (1.) pay their respects to the deceased and, (2.) provide emotional support for grieving family members.
Cremation with a Traditional Funeral:
This package (which includes the features of a simple, direct cremation) is designed for those who wish to retain funeral traditions (including the presence of the casketed body) while reaping the many advantages of a cremation arrangement. Here, the cremation occurs after the funeral (which has been lovingly, and thoughtfully, planned by your family in cooperation with a member of our professional staff).
Cremation with a Memorial Service:
Here, the gathering of your friends and family members occurs after the cremation has taken place. Commonly the urn, holding the cremated remains of your loved one, will be prominently displayed at the service.
